Gabey Toesies: Southern California Pet and Dog Photography

Last week when I was laying on the ground playing with my camera, I looked to my left and saw this image. It is just perfect to me. Gabriel is such a goofy boy, and his back legs don’t quite work right. You can see it here – his back legs drag a bit and here his right leg is just hanging out. One of those cute things that only his momma would love. ;)

This is my in camera crop, btw.

The Boo and his dad: Southern California Pet and Dog Photography

Ninja gets a bad rap around here. He’s a Boston Terrier. Many call them Boston terrorists. He gets crazy when people come over, so often times we put him away while guests are visiting. So he becomes known as “The crazy one”. But really, he’s the sweetest one in the house. When he’s in the mood to be, anyway.

Here’s a few of him and his daddy. Everyone say “Awww.”

The other side of the lens

While we were in Hawaii (Oahu), Chris & I enjoyed driving around the island looking for neat little spots. We found this very secluded little beach right off of the highway. We took the opportunity for him to learn more about shooting, and to get a few photos of me while we were at it. Now, this is big. I don’t like like being in front of the camera. I have every excuse in the book. But he want more photos of me. Think about it, if something happened to me he wouldn’t have any recent photos of me. How sad is that? So – practice for him, photos of me – it worked out.

I think he did a good job, but I may be biased!

And this also gives me the opportunity to show of my new haircut. Isn’t it fun? I’m donating somewhere around 14 inches to Beautiful Lengths.

New, New, New: Southern California Pet and Dog Photography

In addition to the new year, Chris & I recently moved to a new house. It’s a nice upgrade from our old one, and we are so excited. I’ll have an office (yay!) the dogs have more room to race, and now we feel like we can have people over without being too crunched. Ya for that!

And just yesterday, I picked up a NEW camera. I’m excited, to say the least. This is a nice upgrade for me, and I am excited to see how it will help push my images further.

Here’s a few of Gabriel & Slava that I took this morning.
