LT the Pug: Urban San Diego California Pet and Dog Photography

Meet LT and his mom Stephanie! You might think that LT is a professional model by the way he can pose, but no – he is just a dude who knows how to get what he wants! He was so much fun to work with, and get some great shots of!

This… this might be one of my favorite shots ever.

Work it, girl!

This next one I think needs to belong on the front of a greeting card or something.

I love how chunky he looks here. :)

I got LT’s dad in on this one – and I love the second pair of human legs here. :)

Callie the Brittany: Urban San Diego California Pet and Dog Photography

I met up with Erin in San Diego to get some adorable portraits of her and her pup Callie. The weather was lovely, the surroundings were fun, and I had a great time capturing these!

OpLove: Mrs M & Little L! San Diego Portrait Photographer

Our regional coordinator in San Diego for OpLove has been inundated with phone calls lately from folks looking for all varieties of OpLove sessions, so she been passing on the info to all of the So Cal OpLove photographers! I was able to meet S and L when I made a trip down to Balboa Park and we ended up with some lovely shots!

I know that not everyone loves flare, but I do! I just absolutely love the flare that was created in this next image. Perfect, the emotion, the flare, the sunlight, perfect.

I believe that every woman should have a photo of just them… makeup or no makeup, dressed up or not… women tend to get in the rut of being the ones behind the camera, especially when they have children. But when’s the last time they had a photo of just them? I love this one of S, she’s just beautiful, and I hope that she loves it, too. I am sure her husband will!

Crop Ratios, a Visual: Southern California Pet and People Photograper

A lot of people have trouble thinking in terms of crop ratios – they purchase an 8×10 not realizing that parts of the photo (which are proofed as a 4×6) will be chopped off. It is the issue of the dreaded crop ratio! I think that it is so much easier to visualize than it is to show the math (if you want me to, I will, hehe) so I’ve created a little template that will show you what I mean.
